[생활 영어 시즌 1-1175화 : 옷장 정리]

 
1. 표현
    *get one's spring clothes out : 봄옷을 꺼내다.
    *enough closet space : 옷장 공간이 충분하다.
    *throw away clothes that you don't wear : 입지 않는 옷을 버리다
 
2. Dialog
     A:Winter is almost over.
        // 겨울이 거의 끝나간다.
        It's getting a lot warmer.
        // 점점 날이 따듯해지고 있다. 
        (a lot을 써서 강조)
 
     B:I guess you are right
        // 너가 맞는거 같아
 
     A: I am going to put my winter clothes in the closets.
        겨울옷을 옷장에 넣어야겠어
       (clothes는 s를 때면 옷을 입히다라는 동사가 되므로 s붙혀서 사용)
 
    B: Yeah, I should do that too.
         //나도 해야겠어
 
    A: I need to get my spring clothes out.
        // 봄옷 좀 꺼내놔야겠다.
 
    B: I don't have enough closet space for all my clothes
        // 내 옷 넣어둘 공간이 충분하지 않은 것 같다.
        I wish I had more closets.
        // 옷장이 더 있었으면 좋겠다.
 
    A:Me, too. Why don't you throw away clothes that you don't wear?
        // 나도. 안 입는 옷 버리는 게 어때?
 
    B: I am thinking of doing that actually. There are so many clothes I don't wear.
        // 그럴 생각이야. 안 입는 옷이 많아.
        (clothes (that) I don't wear  : 관계대명사 목적격은 언제나 생략 가능)
 
    A: Yeah, go through your clothes and pick the ones you don't wear.
         // 옷을 하나하나 보면서 입지 않는 것을 골라내
         There is a box where you can donate them.
         //그런 옷들 기부할 수 있는 박스가 있어
        (장소에 대한 것을 이야기 하는 것이라 Where 사용)
 
 
 3. Dialog 2
    Sebastien: Hello. Thank you.  

    Serina: So Sebastien, Let's talk about organizing your closet. How do you organize your  
    closet? 
    (옷장 정리에 대해 이야기 해보죠. 옷장을 어떻게 하세요?)

    Sebastien: So the first thing for me is to organize for example T-shirts, pants, and shirts  
    (첫번째로 예를 들어 티셔츠나 바지 그리고 셔츠등을 색깔로 구분해요)

    by color. And for me, that's the best way to look at how I can dress today, you know.  
    (나에게는 그것이 오늘 어떻게 옷을 입을지 보는 최선의 방법이에요)

    It's easier and faster for me.

    Serina: Okay. So in your house, who organizes your closet? Does your wife help you at all?

    Sebastien: No. For my clothes, it's me, and for her clothes, it's her. This is not a problem,

    Serina: Okay. Everyone has to do their own closet. I see.  
    (알겠어요. 누구나 자기 옷장 정리를 해야하니까요. )

    Sebastien: Yes.  
    (맞아요)

    Serina: Do you have a lot of clothes? 
    (당신은 옷이 많이 있으신가요?)

    Sebastien: Yes, like a woman, I can say.  
    (네, 여자만큼 많다고 말 할 수 있어요)

    Serina: As much as a woman, okay.  
    (여자만큼 많다고요. 알겠어요)

    Sebastien: Yes.  
    
    Serina: So it's very important to keep your closet organized, right? Because that way you make  
    (당신의 옷장을 정리된 채로 유지하는 것은 매우 중요하죠. ) 

    sure you wear, you know, a different variety of clothes, right? So Sebastien, do you have  
    (각기 다른 다양한 옷을 당신이 입을 수 있도록 하기 위함이죠?)

    drawers where you fold your clothes and put it in?  (drawer : 서랍)

    Sebastien: No, for me, it's best with hangers, you know. I can put shirts, T-shirts, and  
    (아니요. 저는 옷걸이에 거는 게 좋아요. 셔츠나 티셔츠 그리고 스웨터를 넣죠)

    sweaters, also. And after I have different hangers for pants and shirts, these kinds of things.

    Serina: So Sebastien, do you think it's better to hang up your clothes or put them in drawers?

    Which method is better?

    Sebastien: The first one, I think, because for the clothes, you know I can like this, I can take

    care of my clothes, like this.  

    Serina: So they don't wrinkle? 
    (주름이 안잡히나요?)

    Sebastien: Sorry?  
    (네?)

    Serina: So they don't wrinkle. You don't get wrinkles on your clothes.  
    (옷걸이에 걸으면 옷이 주름이 안 생기잖아요. 당신의 옷에도 주름이 없네요)

    Sebastien: No. 
    (없죠.)

    Serina: I see, okay. Are you good at putting your clothes away once you come home? 
    (알겠어요. 당신은 집에 돌아왔을 때 곧 잘 옷을 치우시나요?)

    Sebastien: Yes, like sweaters and that's it to be comfortable at home. But I don't change all  
   (네, 그렇게 하는 편이 집에서 편하죠. 하지만 모든 옷을 집에 돌아왔을 때 갈아 입지는 않습니다.

    the clothes when I come back home, you know.  

    Serina: Are you good at putting away your clothes like when you come home, you put  
    (집에 돌아왔을 때 옷을 치우시나요? 옷장에서 모든 옷을 치우나요? 아니면)

    everything away in the closet? Or sometimes do you let your clothes pile up?  (pile up :쌓다)
    (가끔 옷을 쌓아 두시나요?)

    Sebastien: No, it's like I clean everything, everything at its place. So for me, it's better like this  
    (저는 모든 옷을 치우는 편이에요. 제게는 그게 좋아요)

    because if you have many clothes everywhere it's like, not organizing like we said first. So for  
    (왜냐하면 사방팔방 옷이 있으면 이건 우리가 처음에 말한 것 처럼 정리되지 않은 거죠. )

    me that's the best way.  
    (그래서 제게는 모든 옷을 치우는 편이 가장 좋습니다)
